Dr Maala Lal (PhD) (She/Her)
Clinical Psychologist & Founder
Dr. Maala Lal (MAPS, Ph.D., M.Psych.Clin, PGD.Sports.Psych, BA.Psych) is a clinical psychologist with over 15 years’ experience. She has a special interest in eating disorders, having attained a Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Sydney. She also likes to work with expectant or new mothers, who may be finding the adjustment to motherhood difficult, including depression and anxiety in the perinatal period.

She has consulted at a private psychiatric hospital in the north shore for almost 6 years amongst reputable, world-known, pioneers in the treatment and research of eating disorders as the senior clinical psychologist in an inpatient unit. She has completed her PhD in eating disorders, in particular working to create links between Australia and India. She worked with hospitals and schools in India undertaking original research to complete her thesis titled ‘Cultural and developmental factors relating to eating disorder pathology in Indian and Australian females’.
She brings with her a variety of experience from different levels of psychology. She has worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice in counselling young female offenders, crisis intervention, liaison with external agencies, to improve the mental health of this often misunderstood population, to cease patterns of offending. Similarly she has worked with the Salvation Army, where she was involved with case managing, advocating and counselling of 12-18 year old adolescents at risk of alcohol/drug abuse and homelessness, as the coordinator of the program called Helping Young People Achieve. She coordinated small to very large group programs and activities for clients, offered immediate crisis intervention, liaised with many external community agencies and conducted budgeting for program needs and expenses.
She has worked closely with the managing director of Napoleon Perdis in an organisational consulting role to review recruitment and selection strategies, provide new employment policy and procedures, recommend suitable psychometric/behavioural instruments, and conduct exit interview and competency testing. She has also been positioned as a learning and development consultant with McKesson Asia-Pacific, where she trained other professionals to conduct in-depth assessment and formulate management plans for patients with post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, psychosis, sexual assault and drug and alcohol abuse.
She has a strong commitment to volunteer and give back to charities. She has been involved with the Australian Psychological Society as a committee member for the Sydney Branch, the ‘Big Sister Little Sister’ program, as a member of the executive advisory board, Lifeline and supports organisations, such as, the Cancer Council.
Sienna Hinton (She/Her)
Clinical Psychologist
Sienna Hinton is a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society. She completed her Bachelor of Psychological science (Honours) at The University of Queensland and her Master of Clinical Psychology at Queensland University of Technology. Sienna has experience in providing evidence-based psychological interventions to children, adolescents, and adults, working from a person-centred approach.

Sienna uses both a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy framework, influenced by both attachment and psychodynamic theory. Sienna has worked with a range of presentations including but not limited to eating disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, difficulties with self-worth, bipolar disorder, challenging behaviours, grief and loss, attachment and parenting challenges.
Sienna is a registered Circle of Security Parenting TM facilitator. This program focuses on improving the relationship between caregivers and their children by working with parents to further provide insight into the attachment relationship.
Kara Binstadt (She/Her)
Psychologist
Kara Binstadt (BA.Education, PGD.Psychology, GD.Psychology) is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. She worked for six years as a high school teacher before gaining successful selection in a sponsored program to retrain as a psychologist. Kara has four years’ experience working as a school counsellor providing evidence based intervention to children and adolescents and their families and school staff. Kara has experience providing mental health, learning and behaviour support. She has experience in counselling, psychometric assessment and crisis intervention.

Kara’s approach is based in cognitive psychology, she uses a variation of cognitive behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, feedback informed treatment and acceptance and commitment therapy. Kara has worked with a range of presentations including but not limited to anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, grief and loss, self-esteem, divorce and separation, social skills, intellectual disabilities and learning difficulties, school refusal, suicide ideation, self-harm, crisis management, anger management, perfectionism and executive functioning. Kara has experience working with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds including indigenous children, adolescent girls and the LBGTQIA community.
Kara regularly consults with experienced psychologists on treatment plans and interventions. Having recently completed her qualifications, her training is based on the most current evidence based research and therapies. She is enthusiastic and passionate, values connection and brings a positive outlook to challenges.

She previously volunteered at Lifeline as a Crisis Telephone Counsellor and is a member of the Professional Learning Committee for the Western Sydney School Counselling Service. Kara provides learning and development for school counsellors and psychologists and was awarded an accomplished achievement award for her contributions to the team. Kara has participated in marathon running events fundraising for cancer research and she volunteers at community running clubs supporting and encouraging active lifestyles among members.
Angela Seo (She/Her)
Psychologist
Angela Seo (MAPS, MProfPsych, GradDip Relationship Counselling) is a registered psychologist and relationship counsellor with over 10 years of experience working in non-for-profit organisations in the area of mental health and relationship services. Angela works primarily through the systemic family therapy framework as well as evidence-based psychological and counselling interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy and Emotion Focussed Therapy.
Angela works with individuals, couples and families across the life-span and developmental stages, and is able to support families with dependents and/or adult children.

Angela is able to work with a range of presentations including but not limited to relationship issues, parenting, separation and post-separation, grief and loss, infidelity, mental health and wellbeing, behavioural issues, cross-cultural issues, migration, identity, life transition and workplace issues.
Angela has worked as a couple and family counsellor supporting individuals and families across the lifespan at Relationships Australia NSW including providing family therapy to young people and their families at Headspace. Prior to this, she worked as a family advisor supporting clients to engage in post-separation Family Dispute Resolution and at Lifeline as a crisis supporter and supervisor.
Angela has undertaken professional development in Imago Relationship Therapy, Bringing up Great Kids Parenting Program Facilitator Training, Men in Mind training, Livingworks ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Mental Health First Aid and Blueknot Working with complex trauma training.
Angela is passionate about helping clients make meaningful and lasting changes to improve their quality of life and relationships.
Hayley Liew (She/Her)

Hayley Liew (BSc Diet&Psych, MSc Nutr&Diet, PGDip Psych, MProfPsych) is a warm and compassionate registered psychologist. She practices from a client centred and trauma informed approach.
Hayley is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician with a special interest in eating disorders, subclinical disordered eating and body image concerns. She is passionate about creating a safe place for individuals of all genders, neurotypes, shapes, sizes, abilities, and cultures working collaboratively to improve their relationship with food and their body.

Over the past 13 years Hayley has worked in private practice consultation as an accredited practising dietitian across the lifespan, health coaching in both private and government run programs, and provided group and corporate education sessions. She has specialised in the medical nutrition therapy for eating disorders and mental health nutrition and brings this knowledge and expertise to her counselling.
She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is registered psychologist with AHPRA. She is also a current member of the Australia & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED) and is a verified Size Inclusive Health Australia provider.

Guided by evidence-based practice which draws from an attachment, trauma-informed lens, she is mindful that each individual has been on a different walk of life. She enjoys working with many concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationships and attachment, grief, ADHD, eating disorders, health related trauma and anxiety, and bipolar. Taylah is an Australian and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders credentialed clinician and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Her therapeutic approaches include CBT, ACT, DBT, Schema therapy, attachment and relational therapy, play therapy and behavioural therapy.
Taylah has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in both hospital and community mental health settings. Her special interest is young people and families with complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, undertaking extensive training to bring a deeper understanding about attachment and how to build connections between parent and child.

Victoria Andrews (BSc Phys&Nutr), M. Nutr&Diet) is a warm and passionate Accredited Practicing Dietitian with particular interest in improving relationships with food and supporting those recovering from an eating disorder. Victoria provides medical nutrition therapy for eating disorders, with a particular focus in treating binge eating disorder, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and ARFID. Using a personalized, evidence-based approach, Victoria helps clients build healthy habits and develop the skills and mindset needed to nourish their bodies and minds in a sustainable, holistic way. Through a focus on intuitive eating, balanced nutrition, and compassionate self-care, Victoria works to empower individuals to take control of their health and overcome their struggles with disordered eating.
