Sessions, Fees and Rebates

The individual sessions with our psychologists and clinical psychologists are 50 minutes in length. The couples therapy sessions are 60 minutes. The sessions with our dietitian are either 30 or 60 minutes in length. The session fees for a psychologist and clinical psychologist are less than the recommended rate by The Australian Psychological Society (APS) and comparable to similar services.

We ask that you arrive 10 minutes early for your first session to get acquainted with our space, and to complete necessary forms, so that it does not impact the time that could be spent in your consultation. When you arrive, please take a seat in our waiting room, or spend some time in our meditation pods, before meeting with your psychologist or dietitian.

You are able to receive rebates for session fees. Medicare provides rebates for the first 10 sessions in a calendar year under a Mental Health Care Plan, which you can request from your GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician. You are eligible to 40 sessions with a psychologist or clinical psychologist and 20 sessions with a dietitian if you are on an Eating Disorder Management Plan EDMP). Medicare does not provide rebates for couple’s sessions.

You may also secure a rebate from your Private Health Fund, depending on what cover you have chosen. You will be provided with a receipt for your session, which will include all necessary details for you to collect the rebate.

If you have access to NDIS funding for psychological treatment and you are either self-managed or plan managed, you will be able to use the funding to cover session costs. You will need to provide your NDIS details upon intake.

Apart from exceptional unforeseen circumstances, 50% of your session fee will be charged for appointments that are cancelled on the day or with less than 48 hours’ notice before your appointment time. For example, if you wish to cancel an appointment on Monday morning, you will need to contact reception on Thursday morning to notify of this change. A non-attendance for a booked session will incur 100% fee charge. Rebates are not provided for late cancellation or non-attendance fees.
